Adams County HCE provides members with educational and volunteer opportunities in various areas of interest. Our members are very active in the Wisconsin Association of Home and Community Education (WAHCE), which is our state organization that provides the Counties with many opportunities on the state, national and international level.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Adams County HCE offers scholarships to high school and college students, which we fund through our work at the Holiday Fair held in Rome on the opening Saturday of deer season, as well as other fundraisers, including brat fries, and assisting with 50/50 raffles at Adams Friendship High School athletic events.
The Villa McMahon Scholarship is for students entering their second year at a technical school or their junior year for a bachelor’s degree or second year of a master’s or advanced study, and are Adams County residents.

The high school scholarship is for students graduating high school and enrolled in post secondary education. They are open to all Adams County residents.

The annual deadline for applications for all scholarships is April 1.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Adams County currently has two active clubs.
Calico Country HCE meets the third Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm at the Easton Town Hall. The club’s major projects include Quilts of Valor, Wisconsin Bookworms, Blizzard Boxes, selling chocolates at the Chocolate Affair, volunteering at the Adams County Fair, and exercise activities, including Strong Bodies, Strong Bones and water aerobics. The Club Officers are:

Romemakers HCE meets the second Thursday of the month at 9:30am at the Lester Public Library of Rome. The club’s major projects and activities include the Kid’s Halloween Event, the Holiday Craft Fair, Christmas in Rome, Blizzard Boxes, the County Fair and state projects. The Club Officers are:
