Kenosha County HCE

Started in September 1951, Kenosha County Association for Home and Community Education (KCAHCE) is one of 45 county organizations that maintain membership with the Wisconsin Association for Home and Community Education, Inc.  KCAHCE provides educational programs for its members, who then share the information they learn with family, friends and neighbors. KCAHCE also gives members opportunities to volunteer their time and talents within the local community.  KCAHCE is governed by a Board of Directors and administered by various committees.

The 2025 Milaeger’s Flower Power for Scholarships launched March 6th. It runs through April 5th. Kenosha County Association for Home and Community Education is selling “Milaeger’s Money” certificates to help fund the Kenosha HCE scholarships for 2025.  MM makes a great gift for yourself or your favorite person! Certificates will be available for $15.00, $25.00, and $50.00 denominations.
You may purchase your certificates two different ways – ANYTHING IN DIRT — for which we receive 17% of sales or ANYTHING IN THE STORE with a 10% rebate to HCE.
Certificates will be distributed as soon as possible after April 15th either by mail or you may pick up from Jerin or Donna. You do not have to spend the entire amount at once, but it is your responsibility to keep track of your receipt with the balance on it.  Treat your Milaeger’s Money like cash or a gift card.  MM does not expire. 2025 KCAHCE Community Service Project

The 2025 Community Service Project, planned by the Good Neighbors HCE Club, will be to support Freedom for LIFE. The LIFE Initiative, Inc., aims to collaborate with all essential organizations and agencies to prevent, combat and eradicate human trafficking as well as recover and support all victims of this crime.
The first aspect of support that we will be providing for them is fleece blanket throws. The organization put out a request for 75. Several of the Good Neighbors Club members have been watching for sales and purchasing the throws.  Others have been gathering fleece fabric with the plan to create throws.  Prior to our Association meeting on January 18th, we will be working to assemble some no-sew blankets for this initiative.  Please arrive at 10:30 to begin.
Our tentative plan for the later part of the year is to collect small personal care toiletries for the bags that are provided to the victims as they are initially supported and comforted.
